Shampa's Story
Shampa's Pies was named in honor of our founding chef, Haruwn Wesley’s, mother-in-law Sheridan, who told him to get out of the water and start baking! He decided to do both. He built Shampa’s into a local phenomenon in Pacifica, CA and the larger Bay Area...while still having time to dip his feet in the water.
Haruwn passed away unexpectedly in December of 2020 doing what he loved and living his life fully expressed as a husband, father, chef, and musician. His bakery legacy lives on under the care of his family and dedicated Shampa’s crew.
We thank everyone for their exceptional support—from those who were there with us when we first opened, to those who shared the struggles we faced during the pandemic, and for each new customer who walks in with an open heart and a love for pie.
